i recently noticed an egg in my geckos home. do i have to do anything special to keep this egg alive or the geckos take care of it?

You will most likely have to incubate it yourself. generally speaking a cage does not have the proper conditions for the egg to live. At this point the egg could already be bad. Also females can lay eggs that arent fertile, has she been mating?
