stevenorndorff Aug 26, 2010 07:34 PM

shawnheflick Aug 26, 2010 08:16 PM

For the right price...everybody can have one~

stevenorndorff Aug 27, 2010 06:17 PM

So the big question is..... what's the right price

shawnheflick Aug 27, 2010 07:00 PM

May not sell any this year...WHAT...I know, I know

yautja901 Sep 29, 2010 02:10 PM

Now all you gotta do is get some leucistic gators to produce (or cross with albino for double hets).

Hey Chris,

Many people said albino gators were sterile or they couldn't produce vaible young...no idea why...but you know how people are. Maybe because Alligator Adventure has been trying to do it for several yrs with no success...no idea really.

I still have another incubator that hasn't popped...so no count now...if ever. This is hush hush stuff man!!!!!

Shawn

You and Jon are the new albino lizard kings. They look awsome. Better than anything out there. You guys just took the new record: First to CAPTIVELY produce Albino Alligators. AMAZING!!!!
Congrats Guys,
Gerard

shawnheflick Aug 27, 2010 05:41 PM

Thanks Gerard!!!!!

Greg Graziani Aug 27, 2010 12:39 PM

Congratulations Shawn, Jon & Neil. Here at Graziani Reptiles we are excited for you and the project and at the same time envious. However now we know we are on the right track to producing some gorgeous little gems. We look forward to seeing them in person.

Shawn, I know you must have been a little nervous when I got that first group of albino gators since it was your idea to pick some up to try to breed them in the first place. You were able to get a hold of some older animals and your patients payed off. CONGRATS!

TOM_CRUTCHFIELD Aug 28, 2010 11:00 AM

SHAWN, CONGRADULATIONS. I've always felt that the albino gators would breed just like any other albino. I'm glad that once more you've proved that these albino's like all albino's can be bred under captive conditions. Next year as the gator's get happier and they get the great nutrition you're providing your going to have a LOT hatch. ONCE AGAIN A BIG CONGRATS ON A JOB WELL DONE...

Thanks Tom! Still one incubator to go...

TOM_CRUTCHFIELD Aug 28, 2010 11:28 AM

You go. We talked about this a lot as you remember and I always knew you could do it. Most folks that spew all the "it can't be done" crap is only true in their case...LOL

shawnheflick Aug 31, 2010 08:29 AM

Still have the female incubator to go...lower temperature.

GerardS Sep 01, 2010 10:18 PM

The females are incubated at a lower temp? They are opposite of turtles. Thats interesting, I didnt know that. Very cool! How much longer do they have to go?
Gerard

shawnheflick Sep 02, 2010 06:36 AM

Maybe another 3 or 4 days if all goes well.
