Sonoran whipsnake checking me out. She's now more interested in her food than she is afraid of forceps. I think she's a little confused--these silver things keep giving her food. But she'll take it.

Very nice Sonoran. I saw a large adult in the Pinal Mts. many years ago and was struck by the vivid colors and alert, bird-like demeanor. Although I was right on top of that one I was not prepared to make it a captive, and didn't even think to make a photo. Never got closer than 20 ft to another one!
