I just bought 3 red bellied newts...they are about 3 inches long..in a 20 gallon tank...all seemed finr till I checked on them last night...one is now missing his front leg...no idea how...I believe they can regenerate limbs...anyone have any idea how long it will take?

each species may be different but as long as it doesn't get infected it should grow it back within a few months. Problem is, how did it lose it in the first place? you often see tanks full of axolotls with missing limbs and extra digits, where it's aggression and biting by tank mates that causes the problem.
