hello! i have a pair of unrelated cb cave dwellers, ridleyi that i have been raising for the past couple of years. i introduced them several times. i came home yesterday to find the female in her box with 13 eggs. looks like 10 fertile and 3 duds. not bad for her first clutch

ridleyi are beautiful snakes and once they get through the juvie stage, are a pleasure to keep. let me know what you think....

absolutely gorgeous! I have to say even though I have never actually seen one, they are quickly becoming one of my favorite snakes, and thats coming from a boa guy, haha. Could you post some pictures of how they look as neo's? Also, about how old and large are your two breeders? How are they to handle? Sorry for all the questions, haha. I think part of the attraction of them for me is that they are a relatively large colubrid. Again, gorgeous snakes, I have not seen any with that much orange on them.

thanks man! they do look great, not they? i will attach a pic of the male when he was a hatchling. they grow very quickly and at the same time get their color to them. as adults, they are great. as hatchlings they were a little nippy. the male grew out of that stage in about 3 months. the female took a couple months longer. as adults, i will give them to newbies to hold. they just want to crawl for the first 5 minutes once they get out. they are both around the 7ft mark now at just over 2 yrs of age. very hardy, beautiful, and rewarding snakes to keep. imo
