Racks/Cages for Adult Female Bloods

Lizards of Oz Sep 03, 2010 04:09 PM

Some of my female Bloods are starting to get to the point where they are ready for a new cage. Can anyone suggest any brands/sizes of caging that they find work particularly well for full grown adult female Bloods. Thanks a lot.

Thanks for the reply. Do you find that they shed well in these tubs? I notice they sometimes have shedding problems in my Vision racks because they don't hold the humidity well.

I have a vision cage, an animal plastics cage, and a repti-racks cage. For my bloods the repti-racks cage is by far the best. It holds humidity so well that I had to drill holes in the top to get the humidity back down. They are one of the less expensive cages also.

I have a humidifier running in my room for my animals keeping the room at 60% So i dont really know how theyd do without it running.

Come actual SHED time, I just dump the water bowl and leave em be. I get perfect sheds every time so thats what I do to all of them.

Thanks for the info. Which model of Repti-Rack is it that you are using for them?

I'm not sure of the model name but it is the 4ftx2ftx12inches high. double hinged doors

I have my larger snakes in Vision cages. For my bloods I block off most of the vents with plexiglass and have no trouble with humidity or sheds. Give this a try before buying new cages. Bill
