Lacertidae literature in English

poskok030 Sep 04, 2010 10:31 AM

Are there some good books in English language about lacertidae species or European herpetology in general?
Any suggestions?

I can suggest this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Reptiles-Amphibians-Britain-Europe-Collins/dp/0002193183

Otherwise, there are several valuable books in English pertaining to the herpetofauna of a given country.

Hope that helps.

No problem. Among a number of "local" faunas, you may consider the following:

http://www.amazon.com/Reptiles-Eastern-Palearctic-Nikolai-Szczerbak/dp/1575240041

Notably, every Lacertid found in the Caucasus is individually dealt with.
