Your yellow male and female leonis have produced some amazing offspring. They seem to create quite a stir at the Raleigh show since people would stop by and say "I heard people talking bout those thayeri, nice animals". I sold every one of them. Mostly to vendors! Here are the parents. You can always have first pick in the future. Thanks again!

Cory, I'm glad they produced for you. They do look good if I say so myself. Kept their color nicely. I'll have a table at the MARS show in Maryland, if anyone is going, stop by and say Hi.......Thanks Again, Mike Bodner
Mike Bodner's Thayeri

The parents first were purchased in 2006 (mbodner stock #06-02-05 Male #06-02-0 Female) and here is the holdback male. Compared to other thayeri enthusiasts, my photographs are poor at best but the animal is amazing.

It has been many years since i posted on this forum. I started collecting aberrant leonis thayeri in 2003 but also picked up this lovely pair of yellow leonis. I will post my breeders in case anyone is interested in collaborating for a particular project. Trading babies or plain working together is an easy way we all can show the potential of this underappreciated species.

Sure thing Craig. I spent many years on wait lists to have the collection I do. I don't have a website but plan on creating a PowerPoint file of all my breeders and their information. I even have some pictures of their parents and siblings. My stock is mainly from Mike Bodner (yellow leonis), Chris Baubel (aberrant orange- looks like the old camo pattern, blotchy 1st picture), Dan Vermilya (female milksnake phase, all brothers and sisters were his white line leonis), Rick (Budgies and Boas), and this tangerine male with small spots down his back who looks just as good as the 2nd picture when he was a baby. All of my purchases are from 2007 and later when orange was the hip thing. I prefer buckskin, peach, white, or yellow myself. I only keep thayeri kingsnakes, rosy boas, and prasina ratsnakes.

Can we send private messages through kingsnake and I’ll give you my email address so we can keep in touch for next year? If not I’ll just post one of my junk mail email addresses.

thanks,

cory

correction "All of my purchases are from 2007 and later when orange was the hip thing."

they are all from 2007 or earlier; simply put all my thayeri are breeding age.

I like your Bodner yellows

Bodner yellow male (#11m) is grandpa to this snake.

crodgers Sep 13, 2010 08:58 AM

Thanks Joe. Mike produces some of the best yellows. I think next year I will cross out the pair with the male to Baubel camo orange and the female to my high peach spotted male to see what happens. Your orange progeny of Mikes yellow line looks like it will hold it's color; great looking snake. I could have 100 of these with all the different possibilities to explore....
