This is something interesting that I though I would post. Someone I know who is currently at the Indianaopolis Zoo had a N. sipedon labled as a "male", and just a few days ago, reported that this snake produced offspring (I do not know how many exactly) parthenogentically. He claims that the animal has never been paired with a female at any previous point in time.
