need snake bags for transport

laurarfl Sep 11, 2010 11:37 AM

Can anyone point me to a source for double seamed cloth snake bags large enough to hold a 12 ft Burm? It is quite difficult to do an Internet search for such a thing. I'm looking for something other than a duffel, like a traditional snake bag.

I use a king size pillow case.

For large pythons, I have always purchased a small size bed sheet and had a locale tailor or alterations business fold it in half and sew two of the edges together to form a bag. Make sure they triple fold the edges and triple sew them with heavy thread. It will hold large pythons with no problem.

I have mine custom made from a member of the Chicago herp society. Mayhaps checking with your local group?
