What do you guys feed your little ones, like yearlings? Anyone have any experience using whole, frozen fish? I've got a yearling alligator, and a yearling spectacled caiman and I'm just curious what (other than small rodents) do other people feed. The adult gator we have ate mice, rats, minnows, and Mazuri pellets for the first couple years, but if I can offer something more, I'd love to try it.

AND, if anyone knows the best place to get Mazuri croc food by the pound, please PM me.

If you're in Canada I can get you some by the pound. I suppose you could pay shipping to the US. PM me and we can work something out.

I've only had my hatchling since July. But I feed him pieces of raw chicken, gizards, hamburger meat with crushed up egg shells mixed in for calcium. I also feed him some of the expensive dog food that has no fillers and just meats, but I soak it in vitamin and calcium powder before I give him each piece. I also Keep live fish in his aquarium in case he gets hungry before I feed him. I also hand feed mine to get him more use to me and calmer. And sometimes when I feed him fish, i'll put some in the bathtub to make it easier for him to catch them and then I'll scare them down there to his end, so it's like he's letting me help him hunt. haha sounds stupid, but I just try and interact with him in as many ways as possible. So how old and big is yours now? I'm trying to figure out how fast mine is growing since he's my first. He's grown 1/2 inch a week here lately.
