Educational Indigo Snake

tvandeventer Sep 16, 2010 11:38 AM

The Mississippi Museum of Natural Science lost their old Eastern Indigo "Indy" this morning. The snake was kindly donated by Dean Alessandrini eight years ago. During this time Indy was a very important and popular componant of the Museum's Educational Department, and they would like to find a replacement as soon as possible.

They have asked me to put a shout-out to the community for a possible donation. Perhaps a retired breeder. Funding is short and it is not known at this time if any money will be available, so a donation is preferred.

Parties may contact me directly at (601)371-7414 or by tvandeventer@comcast.net. At that time we can discuss the matter and I can put you in direct contact with the powers that be.

Thanks to everybody for your consideration,

Terry Vandeventer

Seth Smith has very graciously offered to donate one of his snakes, a six-foot female Eastern Indigo, to the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science. Please help me in thanking him for his kind generosity. A very fine gift indeed!

Cheers,

Yes, that was a very nice thing for Seth Smith to have done!

Hats off to Seth Smith!

That's great Terry. Seth should be able to write off the full value on his taxes.
