try giving them freeze dried bloodworms,or tubifex worms(both easily obtainable at most petstores,in the fish section).after they start eating on either one of those, work in hatchling-sized pellets, dried shrimp, and nightcrawler pieces.just catch a nightcrawler, and chop it up a bit.don't use wrigglers or 'dyed' nightcrawlers, just plain old fishing worms.every week, work in another type of food.my spotteds eat a mix of 5 different commercial turtle pellets, freeze dried shrimp and krill, and occasional live grass shrimp and raw lean meat scraps.

"jesus is coming-when i count to 3,everyone jump out and yell SURPRISE!!"
Ive always just put live plants in the with the hatchlings and waited until I see them eating the at the plants. I then feed them reptomin. They grow like weedz
What kind of plants? I caught some small earthworms this morning and cut them into 1.4" pieces. They are chowing down! I think that now I have them started on something I can work with them going forward. Thanks for the replies. I'll post some pics of them soon.
All four of my hatchlings are eating earth worms with vigor. So far they are not interested in sticks or hatchling aquatic turtle food yet. I keep a lot of reptiles, but these little guys have stolen my heart!
