Ringed Python ?

JayEmbree Sep 23, 2010 10:57 AM

Hi, my name is Jay Embree and I've enjoyed reading the posts at this forum for some time but this is my first time posting - so, hello all. I have an 08 female Ringed Python that is a little over 4' (120cm), 900+ grams, and eating weaned rats. Is she big/old enough to breed this 2010/2011 winter? Thanks for your time

Hi all. Tom Keogan was nice enough to answer my questionst. I thought I would share the info here so maybe he does not have to repeat his effort. She would appear to be on the edge. Tom waits till the snake is 5'ish and 3 years old. However, he went on to say, that there was no harm giving my gal a try as Rings lay small eggs and therefore egg impactation was likely not an issue. Many thanks Tom!
