so i have a veiled chameleon and every time I walk by the terrarium she freaks out and hides. I think shes stressed out and im not sure how to fix it. however I've had her for about a week. any ideas what could be wrong? or is that just the nature of the chameleon?

Give her time to get used to her new space. A week is not much time to settle in. You can get her more used to your presence by giving her a lot of foliage in the cage to make her feel secure, doing your daily cage chores on some sort of schedule (chams like routine), automate lights, misting, drippers as much as possible so they are more predictable, and once she's eating and drinking normally, start offering her favorite feeders by hand. Start by holding the feeder in a container and eventually hold it in your fingers. She'll eventually learn that you are not a predator to be feared. She may never "like" you, but that is hard to predict...very individual.
