Hi, I use radiant heat panels now and wouldnt go back to anything else. I use them in a hide box that contains the heat panel on a thermostat. The hide box has a small door for the torts to go in and out of which helps maintain the heat and humidity. Elswhere in the enclosure is a basking area for the torts to bask and heat up to where they need to be. The heat panels are working for me the best of all other types of heat I tried. Hope this helps, just my findings.

Hi, I dont have any pics at the monment but I will take some and have the wife try and get them up.(no hope for me). Basically though for my babies I made a 2'by 4' box 12" high with a divider 18" from one end. That end has a lid the rhp is screwed to the bottom of. In the divider is a small cutout the torts go threw. The probe of the thermostat is in the center of the 18"by 2' hide 1" above the substrate. The rhp cord plugs into the remote thermostat(ranco) mounted on the outside wall. I made the whole thing from .75" pvc so the humidity in the hide doesnt hurt it and it is very easy to clean which is very important with baby torts. I hope you can follow this, I will try to get the pics up soon. Good luck I forgot, the basking area is a 100w lamp mounted so I get 135 deg. basking spot under it(sounds hot but works, the torts know where to move in and out of to stay at the temp they want to be at.)
