Q about holding hognose

suzukiben Oct 07, 2010 07:03 PM

Is it bad to hold my neonate hognose too often. He is a new eddition to our house, and with 3 other roomates he is pretty popular. Is it bad to handle (hold) the snake 2-3 times a day?

He is eating well, growing, seems to be thriving in his new home, and even seems to enjoy being held, but am i stressing out the snake too much?

All snakes are different...
And all people are different as well...
I personally don't play with my snakes, I leave them alone, they're not so much pets considering the fact they'll try to escape regardless, and some of em are fast enough to get away and never be seen again...
I'd say just avoid handling the snake for a couple days after you feed it. Handling it after it recently ate can leave you with a regurgitated meal from a stress out snake.
