What are you feeding it? I've never seen a Uro like this! Except on the one on Youtube.... Do give him a lot of bugs? My Uros never get like this, neither does my iguanas. It could be hypothyroidism whether the thyroid is not functioning properly and causing iodine deficiency. It can eventually lead to death if left untreated. Feeding veggies that are too high in goitrogenic compound (like kale, bok choy, cabbage, etc...) too often will impaired the thyroid gland and cause iodine deficiency. Does it sleep a lot and is lethargic?

Khamers,
I don't think I'm going to breed her again. I'm scared that something is gonna happen to her, she is a sweet little thing. I'm just gonna breed my other Uros. By the way, your collection is sweet!!!
Tgreb,
How are your babies doing? post some pictures please.

I sent all 7 to a guy in CA. I just heard from him and he said they are doing outstanding.

Hi Orcace,

Thanks for the compliment I'm very happy with the animals I have and hope to breed a few again next year.

I'm sorry to hear your not trying to breed her again next year as this is a pretty rare species, it would be good if more people than just Tom would be breeding them. So they might be available for us in europe some day.

Whats the reason your not trying to breed her again? Did you have difficulties last year? I thought she laid the eggs pretty well?

Man she looks really good and I bet you would not have any problems. I think all the ones tha came from Lindsay did quite well. I think he really takes the time to acclimate them and only sells well acclimated healthy animals! The brumation is easy. Just drop the temps maybe 5 degrees and cut the photo period down to 8 hours. I would not hesitate to breed her.
