Found this little guy the other day in central Va.The lense cap is less than 2.5 inches wide at the widest point!I didn't get a shot of it's underside but it was a bright vermillion! Jeff

Wonderful! I always love finding Carphophis; they're so secretive, and don't tend to show up that often. A very mysterious and unusual little snake. Thank you for sharing the photos of this nice specimen...
