L. z. multifasciata

terryd Oct 27, 2010 09:57 AM

While being more of a milk snake guy I've been lucky enough to receive a small group of zonata from Mr. Zonatahunt. I was taking a few photos of some of my milk snakes and took a couple of quick shots of a recently shed Mountain King.
I have to say I've enjoyed working w/ these z's quite a bit and I'm considering adding more to the collection, so you might see me poking my nose in here a little more often.

L. z. multifasciata

Sorry, not a Mountain King, but I've gotta add in a milk snake.

Thanks Jerry, everything is fine, work has slowed for me which is always a good thing.

I'm starting to see why you guys like these zonata so much. What wonderful snakes to work with.

I love how coastals can have plenty of red and white on their heads. Gorgeous animal!

like candy, they are addicting. Whether they look like this:

Siskiyou County Cascade intergrade......(old baby shot)

orrrrr like this:

Sierra Juarez agalma......(another old pic)

They are what they are, which is a plethora of wonderful adjectives. Glad you're liking them as much as some of us are.

the variability amongst zonata, particularly Coastals, is real neat. To the untrained eye that SB snake could be easily mistaken for agalma.
