I have a mottled rock rattlesnake that won't eat. It's setup in a rack with heat tape. It's on newspaper with a water bowl and a hide box. Any suggestions? I've tried a brown mouse, white mice, rat pinks, and mouse pinks and he refused everything.

Follow the same advice Rich & I gave you for your molossus that wasn't eating. I'm assuming this is another wc animal from this year? If so, it's almost November....they're not eating a whole lot out there in the wild right now. Put it down for the winter.

Did you ever get that molossus to eat? If not, just put it down for the winter too.

Check the temperatures in the rack, research this snakes habitat temperatures.Warming his environment will speed up his metabolism and make him hungry. Also, try to mimic the daylight cycle. Make sure the mouse is not to large, no bigger than the widest part of the snake. I'm not sure how much of this you already knew, but I hope this helps.
