Just got a Morelia spilota mcdowelli

socalherper Nov 03, 2010 06:37 PM

My Background.I have been breeding kingsnakes and Rosy boas for years now succeffully. I just obtained a 7 foot female Carpet Python , Morelia spilota mcdowelli (Tiger)genes.... So I am going to embark on a breeding project. I am looking for a male this could be tiger or with the tiger phase gene and any age.
I want him to be of the olive green shade like my female. I have looked on sites and have e-mailed but I am not getting any responses.I have found a perfect male but the owner wont let him go.. lol...
Can anyone direct me to a breeder. That may be producing these?
here are a couple pics.
Thanks SoCalherper (tony)

thats a beautiful girl ya got there. I have a nice male that would be a perfect match but I live in Pennsylvania and you cant have him anyway. Haha! But seriously, good luck with her and remember a bite from a carpet python is just a tad more painful then a king or a rosy so be careful!

Hey Jeff,
Thank's she is a nice looking girl.
Yes a python will bite a litter harder than a Rosy Boa or a Kingsnake I can tell you that personally. I have had 15 foot Burmese bite me in the chest,A nice 8 Burmese bite as well.I have had red tail boas before and Anacondas bite me. So with all due respect and jokes aside I have been around the big boys. I didn't think anyone wanted to hear my life stories. I had kids and traded in my big snakes my kings and rosy and I have an Albino line that will probably make you go wow! My kids are grown now so a few carpets will be nice.
I have been around a while. Keep your male and good luck to you in your endeavors.
Bye the way I was one of the first members of Kingsnake.com along long time ago..

If anyone does have offspring available or an adult from good lines let me know.
