yellow sand boa

steinfortjason Nov 08, 2010 12:00 PM

I havent seen any sand boas that are yellow and brownish. I have on female that where usually is orange it is a dull yellow and is browning out a little. How unuasual is a yellow sand boa? I havent seen any pics posted that are even close to what mine is.

maybe more of an eygitian sand boa rather than a kenyan sand boa?

'Kenyan sand boas' are highly variable. People seem to prefer the high orange individuals so yellows are less commonly posted.

Can you post of a photo of yours?

Cheers,
Chris

I cant post any pics right now. Maybe in the future i will post a pic of my small group together. I would like to breed it to either a paradox or an axanthic. I think i like the yellow more than i do my orange. My thoughts on breeding to the axanthic would be that it would make some nice crisp axanthic down the road (my male axanthic is nice and crisp white) but the paradox might make some cool hi yellows. The female is supposed to be a het paradox but not sure cause i bought a second female het from the same breeder and she hasnt produced any paradox's in two litters ( she is orange). The yellow should be ready next year.

I look forward to seeing photos. Keep in mind that the yellow can produce ( and likely will produce) some orange offspring.
