2009 Mex Mex Getting Dark.....

Jlassiter Nov 10, 2010 10:22 PM

This girl is starting to show her true colors.....Plus I like her split saddles........
She should be an impressive black and red/orange Mex Mex when she is an adult.
These Dark Phase Mex Mex are like owning two different snakes.....
When they hatch they are light gray and red....As they age their gray darkens to black and their red gets an orangish tinge.....Very cool ontogenesis.......

I love the look of her. When I had to decide which kings I would get it came down to the Thayeri and these guys. Very beautiful and if I had room I wouldn't limit myself to one type.

Thanks.....and limits are made to be broken....
Anyone remember early last year when I said I wouldn't get over 50 snakes......That went out the window long ago.....LOL

BTW....There should be some VERY interesting Mex Mex emerging over the next decade.......
