I live in New England and house many torts inside all winter... they have an 8X12 shed that is super insulated... dirt floor with hides/tunnels and a small cement pond for water. it is attached to and 8X12 greenhouse that they can go into on nice days and that green house has tunnels that lead outside into 2 different tort pens for spring thru early fall. they have free roam of where they go and I just control where they go according to the weather... I have some pics... i will look through them and find the best ones Do you want them emailed or posted here?

sounds very nice, mind if I ask what you used for the insulation. I am going to build a new shed in the spring and getting all my options and details worked out. Thanks

I used 2" ridgid foam under the dirt (2 feet down) 2" foam and fiberglass insulation in walls and 4" foam in the ceiling...

sounds pretty warm and cozy, the 4" foam in the ceiling is (2) 2" foam boards? Thanks

Thanks, I think everyone would like to see them. Did you get my email? VM

PLEASE can everyone post them here? It would be nice for us northerners to see what people are doing during the winter months (ie 9 months out of the year)!

Thanks!
