If I breed two patternless, or "banana" cal kings together, will I get only patternless babies, or will I get some banded, some striped, etc?

It's possible all of them might be patternless but most likely you'll get a range of bandeds, stripeds, aberrants and patternless. The patternless is not a simple recessive trait, rather it's a selectively bred phase created by generations of breeding together specimens with the widest bands and stripes. Aberrant specimens were also used.
