Red-bellied Black Snake

saratoga Nov 20, 2010 04:28 AM

Going through lots of my footage and trying to put a few little videos together. Here is one from about 6 weeks ago just after the floods went through the Barmah Forest.

The Red-bellied Black Snake (Pseudechis porphyriacus) is a common large (~1-1.5m.....4-5ft) elapid in much of south eastern Australia.

I like this one as well! I know very, very little about red-bellied blacks. I'm assuming the flattening of the body in one of the shots was a threat display?

Also, do you shoot for an organization or job, or is this something you do as a hobby?

Thank you for sharing!

No, it's just a new hobby....but if you need some filming done!
