Never see enough Liasis...

It's a shame these guys aren't more popular...they're pretty cool I think!

My pair of Macklots is off feed for the winter but I took the male out last night for some photos. I'll get some of the female with my new lighting setup sometime soon, but here's the boy -

I have 1.2 Macs and 2.2 Olives. Great animals, although the macs get snippy.

How old are your macks? Mine are still snappy when I reach in the cages but they're getting better (they're about 3 years old or so) but they're pretty much fine once they're out.

At least 6 years old. One female is over 8'

Do yours ever go off feed seasonally? For the past two years mine have stopped eating from about November - March but they haven't been at breeding size until this year (at that, I still don't think the female is large enough and she's been off feed for a month and a half already minus a small meal here or there).

I talked to Dave Barker about it last year and he said that they sometimes see it with their Macks, but it seems to be a consistent thing with mine.

They're off feed now. The male seems to have developed a resp. infection, so he's quaranteed now and Baytril is being used
