Postcards From Maine

gerryg Dec 01, 2010 05:08 PM

Seeing as it's rather quiet here... thought I'd try my hand at posting a few pictures of how I spend my time out in the field. A little pay back for all the posts I've enjoyed here.

My main interest when I'm out and about is botany... native flowering plants of Maine, especially the orchids... but in truth I just love being outdoors and looking at whatever my catch my fancy that day... I've gone out toting a 5 1/2 gallon aquarium along because that day checking out tide pools at the beach or pond life has been the order of the day.

Anyway... here's (hopefully) 8 postcards from sunnier days in Maine, and if you like there are more... but be warned, they are just an odd assortment of pictures featuring things that... well.. strike my fancy

Is why I enjoy your posts so much, really do like seeing the adventures of you and your family. There is just so much to see and appreciate out there... it's difficult not to become distracted while I'm out supposedly looking for "x" and then notice "y".

Anyway, I'll do a set of eight every couple of weeks if for no other reason than my own amusement.

Very nice, Gerry! I feel the same as you and Dan...I like to chronicle the whole picture.

Mr. Dunham! Nice to hear from you and thanks for the kind words.

Acquiring some VA Beach Kings didn't pan out this year but perhaps next year will be the lucky one for me.

Hope you enjoy the newest post... a rather eclectic offering... but there is just so much to see!

Gerry
