whats up with my BD

Linda G Dec 12, 2010 06:34 PM

Hi all,

My adopted dragon continues to develop in personality. He/she is doing wonderful. I had posted a while back that he was bobbing at my uromastyx and his chin turned black. Well now it is an everyday event. I even had to cover my uro's cage where he basks because my BD won't stop annoying him. Even with him covered my BD sits all day watching the cage contently and bobbing and turning black. This BD is obsessed with my uromastyx. Is this peculiar or normal behavior for these lizards?

Thanks, Linda

As uromastyx and bearded dragons don't live in the same areas in the wild...completely different continents, its not a 'natural' behavior. However, it is obvious the presence, sight and scent of the uromastyx is stressing your dragon.

I suggest moving one or them into another room, this way both reptiles will not be stressed by the presence of the other.
