My newt wont eat.

I just got a fire belly newt, i have had it for 3 days. I have tried feeding it frozen brine shrimp, and freeze dried bloodworms. I go away then come back about 3 hours later, and its still there on the bottom. Is this normal? if so what do they do when they eat like what behaviors do they have? please any help is appreaciated thanks!
