some 2010 hatchling

cadmus Dec 16, 2010 07:08 PM

all 9 that hatched from a Hanson?Rogers cross this summer are alive and thriving (as far as i can tell). Weights range from 15.8 grams to 23 grams with SVL of 24 to 32cm. Healthy but a bit on the wild side - will be handling them more as time goes by. Having trouble sexing them - so if there is anyone nearby willing to lend some expertise please let me know. Central ohio here. I am still very pleased with the variety and have posted some pics of a few if you are interested.

really intersting things going on with this milksnake - nuchal striping, crossing over on blackbands ala zonata and then banding pattern continuing on the belly. this is interesting to me as i have tried to "outbreed" as much as possible.

Great babies. They are growing nicely. Best way to sex them is to pop them first 2 or 3 weeks of life. They are easiest then. Mike Bod
