possible problem

I have a female box turtle someone gave me a while back. She is missing a back leg, but has no problems getting around. However, I recently discovered she is gravid. She's in a nesting box that other turtles have successfully laid in, but there's been no digging or other nesting behaviors. Could her missing leg be interfering with her egg-laying?

I also have a female box turtle that is missing a back leg. Each year she attempts to dig her nest. She is very determined but it’s not easy. With one leg it’s hard for her to stay in one spot, with just one leg she tends to keep moving to the right, and digging in new spot. Some years she is successful and digs a nest and lays her eggs. Other years after trying for days, she gives up and I find eggs lying on the ground. In the wild I don’t think she would be successful. I have yet to see her able to fill back and completely cover the nest with just the one leg.
