un-treated pine shavings as bedding

Hi all,

just wanted to know your thoughts on untreated pine shavings as a substrate / bedding??

is ok to use or not?

any input would be appreciated.

Don't use it. Bedding with Pine or Cedar are both bad ideas. Both types of wood contain aromatic oils that, given time, will prove fatal to your snakes.

Stick with Aspen, Fir, Newspaper, - even soil is okay- just make sure it doesn't have any fertilizers in it.
