I am about to get a medium sized exo terra rainforest terrarium (24 x 18 x 24) and was wondering if that is too small for a 4.5ft JCP? He stays on his favorite branch coiled up under the heat lamp 24/7.

JCP's get in the 6-7 ft range, so you would want something that's at least 48x24x18.
That would be borderline for your carpet. It would serve but not for long. Also be careful with those exoterra terraiums. They're fine for dart and tree frogs but not very secure for snakes.

Yeah. I was actually fortunate enough to get it with a lock already on it and he's not the type of snake that wants to get out so we will see in time if he decides to get out or not.
