Hi,I have a question. When every one trys to pick up their cyclura do they try to hold on to the ground. I know he will let me pick him up but he sort of gets his claws stuck on his log. I just want to know if others do it and if cuting his nails would help.
Thanks!

c'mon I think you can figure this out. Is he holding on or are his claws getting wedged in the cracks of the log?
A. hes hanging on cuz he is scared, his nails are sharp and digging in, smart lizard, you could trim the tips
B. they are getting wedged in the log, you risk pulling the nail out, or, do you really want to cut them that short
C. get a different log, one that is too heavy for it to pick up or smoother so the claws dont get stuck.

what happened to the bloody butt??

Thanks for the advice! I watched him climb of the log one day and he had trouble getting off. So his claws are getting stuck in the log,and I know he isnt scared.I am going to get him a new log today.
And about the bloody it was the figs we were giving him for a treat and the seeds were cutting his bug hole so we tried mango. PROBLOM SOLVED! Thanks
