S373 is dead. With the close of the last congress no action on it was taken. However it is always possible that the bill is reintroduced in this new session. But I don't think it will.

S373 was a national bill before congress. Ohio's thing was an executive order from an outgoing governor. They cover the same topic (exotics) but they're wholly different levels of government and one does not have a direct impact on the other (although they were both pushed by the same PAC).
What the Ohio thing shows is that HSUS is willing to play very dirty (which we already knew) and that lobbyist will sell us up the river to safeguard other groups (in the Ohio case, rangers/farmers) which we also already knew.
Not comforting as I meant it to be. Oh well.
