Just posting some photos of my lewisi crosses......
hi ty, thats a great looking cross! i meet i guy hear in michigan not that long ago with a similar looking very nice cross. just wanted to say hi. chris
Thanks Chris. I am looking for more high quality lewisi crosses like these if anyone has any for sale.......and also figginsi and ricordi in the US.
Hey! You have very nice Cycluras! I've been feeding my green iguana just the hard veggies lately, and I've seen a remarkable differences. He's gotten quite large and shedding like crazy. They say the hard veggies, like green beans, parsnips, turnip bulbs, and winter squash, are more nutritious than the greens, but I've never thought it would make that much of a differences. Boy, was I wrong!
That second one is fabulous! Will you be making the CHS Reptile Fest this year?

If I am home in Chicago,I definitely will be there but I don't have a clue if I will be home at that time. It would be nice seeing you also and as for Osama,I know you won't part with him....but if you ever do.....he will have a great home in Florida!
WOW Ty the first two look awesome! look pure... i dont agree with people talking about the black bands on the sides being a sing of hybrids... seen plenty pics on the wild ones with bands.. although they did put some caymanensis on the island in the 70's so who knows... but your animals look just as good as the so called pure ones on GC...
=)

There is no genetic proof of any cayamanesis in the lewisi's on GC. All of the results were compared to both caymanensis and nubila and there were no tell tales found.
lewisi have black bands of varying degree, they just do
jf
but they did find a few hybrids on the islands a few years back.. i read it on some canadian breeders site(deer fern farms??? or something like that was the name i think).. that they got theirs exported from GC... these hybrids on GC...
Anyhow i do agree...
BTW are you jerry fife???
I believe the hybrids were brought in, unknowing, as "pure" to help the breeding and were found to be hybrids. These animals were removed from the breeding stock, "fixed" and some allowed to live in QE2 park.
Nope, not Jerry
jf
Hey Jeff,
Have you seen any pure lewisi with red in the belly?
Ty
Jeff? nope not Jeff either.
Ty, I have never seen red on a lewisi, I havent seen all of them so I suppose it could be. Red, or rust color, on the belly is usually a trait from Caymanensis or nubila.
jf
Sorry Joel...LOL
"lewisi have black bands of varying degree, they just do"
.......but, but, but......
no buts... just bands
yu,
jf
Thanks....would you believe he was found on the Craig's List!
what list? LOL
How much do these high quality crosses go for?
Could they co-exist with a green?
Who is your breeder?
