Hey all,

I've been on kingsnake for at least 10 years, unfortunately I forgot my user id so I had to make a new account.

I am moving to Prescott on Wednesday and looking forward to being close to the desert for some good herping!

I was wondering if there are any residents of AZ here that would be willing to take me out to do some herping with them? I have never been to AZ, so I'm kinda taking a giant leap by moving there! I am originally from Portland, OR.

Also if anybody could share some good spots with me to go find some herps it would be much appreciated! I know many people don't like to post these locations on a public forum, so a private message would be great!

I look forward to hearing from some fellow enthusiasts and hopefully going out and doing some herping with them!

Thanks,

Josh

Try hooking up with these organizations:

www.azreptiles.com/

www.phoenixherp.com/

Both are top-notch outfits and I used to be a member of both when I lived in AZ. The AHA is where I got my start field herping and was helped along by a bunch of members after they got to know me a little bit and they knew I just wanted to do it for recreation, not to poach or try and turn a quick buck. I managed to find most every AZ snake and lizard and a fair amount of anurans and chelonians in about 4 seasons.

Good luck on your move, and I hope you get tons of lifers this season!
