I just got a pair of Granite night lizards (Xantusia henshawi). I put them into a large plastic terrarium with newspaper substrate for their quarantine period, with a very shallow water bowl, a couple of coconut shell hides and a piece of cholla skeleton. The terrarium is a couple of feet from the radiator and measures 85 degrees. They seem reluctant to go after the small crickets I put in there. Am I missing any secrets as to their happiness so that they'll eat?

they eat spiders, centipedes, scorpions, beetles and even some plant matter in the wild. I would try some meal worm beetles or a couple house spiders if you can find some. Also they prefer flat rocks to live under.
