What makes visual markers make a Matrix a Matrix? Can you tell by looking? Or is not a visual Het??? Just wondering. I appologize that I don't know if it's a dominant or co-dominant morph, but kind of new to the Bloods. Thanks in advance, Josh

I guess I should have just said, "What makes a Matrix, a Matrix?". Bad grammar on my last post. I guess I pretty much answered my other question too. It would have to be co-dominant (or incomplete dominant). Is anybody on these boards anymore???
There are several characteristics that distinguish a matrix. They don't look like a normal blood as juveniles as their pattern has a more geometric pattern than the organic, smooth patterns of typical bloods. They white stripe by their eye is more pronounced than normal bloods. Check out the Ivory photo gallery at the vpi.com website.

Thanks for the response. Very interesting. I'm going to have to try and see one in person for myself. Also posed this question on Bloodpythons.com forum and got some responses. Thanks for your help, Josh
HEre's a Matrix, and a normal. You can tell which one is which
Some can be a bit more tricky though, or even a bit more obvious

Cool, thanks for the comparison shots. Definately helps. Thanks again, Josh
Stunning animals you got there Travor. That matrix has to be the nicest colored matrix I have seen.
Is that the red you got from ashley? colors look ALOT like my 09 male and animals that nice, pics don't do justice for. they are so stunning.

No, that red is a male and from Chris Kopecky, its a Marter/Eckert
Born Red from Ash is this snake, and a female

Is Chris in Arizona?
Nope!
Chris is in Pennsylvania
Thanks everybody for all your help on this matter. I am looking to purchase an 09 red female. Would be nice if it were het for T albino, but really, I'm just looking for an extremely red female. If anybody out there could point me in the right direction, I would be most appreciative. Thanks, Josh
I believe Chris Fargo has some hets available, pretty sure they were '09s. His are definitely reds too.
If you email, be patient, he's in and out quite a bit during the week and difficult to get hold of sometimes.
Here they are:

They are indeed red. I actually have one of his males from 09, and that thing is smoking. I was just seeing if I could get a little diversity. If worse comes to worse (which actually wouldn't be bad at all), I will contact him and get the female. The thing is I'm not really even interested in albinos (of any reptile really), but I do think there is something to Het albinos being more red. But I would definately take a nice red normal captive bred female from a good line. I just really like the reds. Thanks for your help, Josh
I like the normals better myself but I've got a VPI het female so I went ahead and picked up an albino male from Chris. Or, at least I'm in the process of it right now. The weather isn't helping.
Have you looked at Kevin Marter's snakes? They're a nice red, as are Kara and Ryan's at bloodpythons.com.
Yeah, I'm on the forum on Bloodpythons.com Awesome snakes they have there. How would you get in touch with Marter? I have seen some of the snakes he produced, and they are pretty amazing. Thats really what I'm into. Just the deep, clean reds. Thanks, Josh
Kevin posts on bloodpythons.com and has at least one ad on fauna. You should be able to track him down through either of those venues.
Thanks, I will check that out. What's his user name in bloodpythons.com?
