Housing Gilas and Beaded lizards in rack

dougle Feb 06, 2011 11:13 AM

I am in the process of starting a large group of Gila a Beaded lizard project, the question is that I am leaning more on housing them in a large rack system! I am looking at housing them in Vision Cages Ball python rack units or the larger boa rack units! I think that these will be perfect for housing a large breeding group of these lizards, what do you all think? Do you think that 34L -17.5w-5h would be enough room for the Gilas and Beaded Lizards? or should I go with the larger Vision boa rack that is a liitle larger?

I keep my gilas in a similar sized rack. My tubs are the same length and width but 9" tall.

Those will not be big enough for Beadeds.

Have you gotten your Beadeds already?

You are right , thats what I was thinking I decided to go with the larger Vision tubs the ones that are 68in L-34in-w-14in-h, I will place a sheet of acrylic on top as the lid, attach lighting and heating to it ,and than I could house a small group of three in each one of these very enclosures..
