anyone ever use this two part epoxy stuff to seal ponds or backgrounds? Is it hard to use? Is it toxic? Just tossing ideas and looking for stuff easy to get...

I can tell you it is not toxic once cured. Haven't tried it, but it will probably work fine. Epoxies tend to be thick and take a little more effort applying. I would inquire to the company about usage in ponds, but a background in a cage should be OK.

I'm trying to do the same thing. I've been told marine epoxy works but haven't got any answers about the cheaper easier to get stuff. I guess you are talking about the stuff for garage floors. If you try it let me know how it works.

My neighbor did his garage floor with that recently. I read the can, and it said not for vertical surfaces. My guess is because of the viscosity - it will tend to be heavier near the bottom of the vertical surface than at the top. I had him paint a small plywood scrap with it just to see. It cured very hard. The limiting factor is the wood of course. Works awesome on stone, concrete and I bet grout. I didn't think to try directly on foam - I should have tried that.
