High everyone,Here is a picture I took last week.I wanted to take one of her next to a "run of the mill" dumerils, but she is in shed mode and one of those DEVIL SNAKES PBM mentioned. Her name is Dorothy.I have another large female named Dolly [suppedly from Africa]and a male named Dagger. Both of them are super friendly. jenni/

Very nice Jenni, and much nicer than what I've seen advertised as "high pink". I agree with Pat when it comes to most peoples "high pink" Dumerils, there's not much if anything to them. That Dumerils is definitely a stand out! Do you have a nice looking male to go with her?

Dear PBM,I have a male I raised from a baby. He's about four, but seems small to me.I read somewhere this can be caused by inbreeding. Thanks for posting pics of your pritty snakes I hope you post some more. jenni/

Hey Pat,Finally learned how to post pics.,now if I could learn to spell.Maybe those other folks with pink snaakes do have pink ones-its just not showing up in the pictures.I'm no photo expert, but did notice the colors look off.I just measured Dagger [ my male dum.]-he's right at 48 in.-so I guess he's not small after all. Here's another shot of Dorothy. jenni/

Heck yeah, 4' and plenty of age, he should be good to go. Why you gotta keep a guy down just cause he's short Jenni? LOL, jk. I'd say put them together and hope to produce more Dumerils with great color. It's great to see more and more people trying to produce high quality Dumerils. Only bad thing is, it's going to cost me more money, lol.

Hey PBM,What are my chances of getting pink ones if I mix her with a regular male?Is it too late to try this year?Do you still keep leopard boas? jenni/

You should be able to produce some nice babies with that female with any male, but having a good looking male would definitely increase your potential. Honestly I'd guess you would get approximately half of the litter being stand outs from what I've seen with breeding nice looking BCI and the resulting litters. It is definitely not too late to breed them as I have just been getting some pairs together myself. As far as Leopard boas, absolutely, I love those things. The variation is incredible. I should've had hypo leopards this year, but I pretty well failed on that. It wasn't a "priority" breeding, as any produced probably wouldn't even be offered for sale, so as I observed her on the "cool side" I just assumed she was cycling herself and never really looked into it like I should have. Here's what happened imo-stack of boaphiles I was trying out to see how I liked them had a couple with the heat tape that comes with them and a couple had regular heat tape. She was in a cage with regular heat tape, the thermostat was ran to a cage with what the boaphiles come with. End result she was too warm and I think that's why she slugged out on me this time around. OOOPS! Good luck with the breeding attempts! Keep us posted.
