I dont post often, but thought this was worth the time. I went out to a spot today to look for a mate for my female coastal common king. didnt find one but flipped a santa monica mountain kingsnake. looked like he ate a lizard yesterday.

Very cool! I've flipped a couple of Santa Monics z's under AC and the sight of those have been forever burned into my memory. I love the "insitu" shots like these.

I posted the habitat shot on the fieldnotes forum, this year I am investing in a camera to take better photos with. Some of the pics I see on these forums are so good that it embarasses me. And capturing rare sights like a S.M. mountain king on film really deserves some qaulity.
