Crocodile Snare pole...help

CDieter Feb 24, 2011 09:01 AM

i have a question about finding a certain type of snare pole. I just happened to catch an episode of Brady Barr's show the other night and he was using a snare pole with a large 'Y' on the end that was very effective in getting large crocs relatively safely.

I have been searching for a similiar device but haven't found anything past the usual snare poles. Any thoughts on where to look?

Thanks.

Do you remember which episode? Ill try to see if i can find it online. It may be something he had custom made as well. While my snare is meant for smaller animals, it is def a lot safer than the ones made for dogs and cats with a wider band. But it too is custom.

While I did not see that episode, I have seen a few poles that fit your description. They were always custom made.

I´ve seen the pole you are talking about... as far as I know its cutom made, and thing he only use to place the rope in crocs jaws, not to handle them...

I talked to Brady about those poles and he had them custom made. Must be nice to have Nat GEO R&D Dept at your disposal.
