Chinese False cobra

lexxxx300 Feb 24, 2011 11:45 AM

I just picked this little girl up from Tom. She was so much more than I expected. She is mellow and curious but flares up in a non aggressive way just exploring. I can't seem to find anything on her venom. I would like to know if anyone else out there has them. I'm a huge fan now.

My favorite picture so far

That is a beautiful snake!

I'm a huge rear-fanged fan and would love to add one of these to my collection. I read about them some time ago but, man is it tough to find a lot of info about them.
Know where I can get one or at least get some info on obtaining one?

I guess obtaining them is only the second problem from what little information I've been reading. Getting them to feed regularly is another problem. I made the mistake of putting it in a vision cage and keeping it at 85 degrees. They tend to like the cooler temps. I'm hoping mine will take live frogs or anoles but so far nothing. I really don't want to try to force feed but gotta do what you have to do.

I would check with Tom Crutchfield and find out when he is expecting more in. I would love to get more myself. I'm literally hooked!
