I have a group of 7 C. carinata carinata and non of them will eat. I expected to have to work with them, but no luck so far. All of them still have good body weight except for one, which I will be forcefeeding in a few days.

set up
They are all in appropriately sized containers in a rack. I have no heat on them as my reptile room stays between 82 and 84 in the day and drops to around 73-75 at night. I can give them extra heat, but Ive kept C. aspera in these conditions for years without a problem. They are on aspen bedding.

feeding methods tried
ive tried split heat, live overnight in deli cup, and lizard and bird scenting.

I have found one guy I can order frogs from, but I believe they are a little to big for most of them. Anyone with any other good tips or a good place to order small reptile feeders let me know. thanks.

Some of these guys do enjoy-belly heat-wich probably does raise thier temp.a little higher.I had some success using a glass tank,a small repti-therm U.T.Heater{these dont get hot enuf to burn}(unless room temp is over 80')-,and terry-cloth-a single layer on tank bottom and another to hide under(washcloth)and ambush prey from/with the addad bonus of not eating wood chips.I dont know what size or how old your snakes are.If they are still juvis I'd try the deli-cup method again with some belly heat.Gosh I sure hope you can get them feeding.I know how frustrating this can be esp.X7 jenni/

Thanks for the advice. They are in a little rack by themselves, So I can hook up the heat tape and just set the temps a tiny bit higher. Yesterday I finally force feed them. 3 ate and 3 spit it back out. I used mice feet and legs, and only stuck them in about half way. I know its not the most nutritional thing but it gives them a little snack until I can get them eating.

You could try feeding fish. I have had decent luck with small 'rosies' and Candoia paulsoni. Just toss them in (not in water) at night. Check on them in 30-60mins (fish will die by then).

Best of luck,
Chris
