Opinion on housing pair together?

Hi
Interested in picking up an albino male baby and female baby normal looking garter.

What is everyone's opinion on housing them together and if okay can they be housed in pair as adults ?

housing them together should not be a problem.i house mine together and they do fine.

I house my Garters in pairs and have been doing it for years without any problems.

it's not a problem housing them together, just make sure they are the same species.

I would not if you get checkered garters.They tend to be canibalistic.I cant count the number of times I have Had to pull a slightly smaller male out of a female's mouth during breeding.

I house all my garters individually, but not because I necessarily think there is something wrong with doing so, it's more a matter of I want to keep exact track off who is doing what, who's eating, popping, shedding, separate food, water, less sharing if illness occurs ect. ect. Of course pairs are put togather during breeding time regardless, but feeding is done in separate quarters even during the breeding season, so you might want to at least put them in individual containers for feeding time to avoid any accidental problems should two snakes start eating the same food item at opposite ends and the same time, because the one with the bigger mouth wins when they meet in the middle and just keeps going.
