Zonata x Thayeri

Ryan_Sikola Mar 10, 2011 08:16 PM

I may attempt it this year.
I thought of attempting zonata x elapsoides but the babies would be near impossible to get started eating.

Whats the worse that could happen?
A zonata type king that you can legally buy here in california?

Hello Ryan,
Although I have not personally attempted this exact cross, I have done other crosses with snakes that are traditionally difficult starters. Most notably Thayeri X Ruthveni and what I have noticed is that almost without exceptions, the hybrids are much more vigorous eaters. I don't know if everyone has had this experience, but that is what I have seen.

They didn't breed, even with trickery.

My albino-apricot pueblan x nelson's had his way with her again.
